Pathway's Assembly - October 2019
In October the Pathway's Team told the story about Jesus healing a blind man called Bartimaeus. They taught the children that you should recognise God and that it was not just the power of God that healed Bartimaeus but that the man's faith was also the channel by which that strength could flow.
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee' - Mark 10.49

Harvest Festival
Harvest is a time of great thanksgiving to God for supplying us with not only physical nourishment through food but also spiritual nourishment through His love. It is a time when we think of those who do not have food or warmth and the school donates food to the North London Food Bank as an act of charity. Each class gives a presentation on a different aspect of the Harvest festival.
"Now he who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will also supply and increase your store of seed and will enlarge the harvest of your righteousness". 2 Corinthians 9:10
Year 6 Class Assembly
Year 6 presented to parents an Assembly on their class saint - St Paul. In a very clear and precise way they told the story of St Paul's perseverance and how he encouraged people to follow him as he followed Jesus. They performed Stormzy's song - Blinded by Your Grace - which was extremely moving and we are very proud of the way in which they have worked and how they show true perseverance in all that they do.
Year 5 Class Assembly
Children, parents and staff were treated to Year 5's special class Assembly about their class value - Responsibility. They explained what a 'responsibility' is. A responsibility might be a task that you have to carry out, such as your teacher expecting you to finish your homework on time and to do your very best - so it is your responsibility to do your homework - or it could be for example, that your parents expect you to brush your teeth and it is your responsbility to do this every day. The children showed real courage and responsibility through their fantastic narration and hard work.
Remembrance Service
On Monday 11th November we honoured the memory of all those who have suffered or died in war. The children showed a great deal of respect and it was wonderful to see so many members of the Scout/Guide Association looking very smart in their uniforms. We are very grateful, as always to Fr.Taemin for leading us in prayer and worship and we also thank Mrs Burt for the reading. We would also like to say a big thank you to Mrs Beckwith who led the procession of the community groups with the flag, Mr Cunningham for supporting and a huge thank you to Miss Morton for her rendition of the Last Post.
Pathway's Assembly
In November we had a visit from the Pathway's Team who told the children about the Christmas story when the Three Kings travelled to Bethlehem when the three Kings travelled to Bethlehem and how they were sent there by King Herod to kill baby Jesus. They told the children that as the Three Wise Men slept they each had the same dream that they were not to go back and tell King Herold where Jesus was. They explained that the Wise Men decided to go home another way and that they would not tell King Herod where baby Jesus was.
"Today in the town of David a savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord". Luke 2:11
Christingle
The whole school gathered in church for a very special Christingle service. Messages and prayers were read by our Yr. 6 children. They explained the meaning of the Christingle. We also enjoyed listening to the children read from Luke's Gospel and heard two wonderful songs - Shine your Light and Christingle Rock and Roll. There was a wonderful atmosphere in the church and the service was enjoyed by all.
Epiphany Service
We had a lovely Epiphany service in church on Monday 6th January. Once again the children sang beautifully and we are thankful to Fr. Taemin who led the service.
Magi from the East arrived in Jerusalem and asked, "where is the one who has been born king of the Jews? We saw his star when it rose and have come to worship him." (Matthew 2:1-2)
Pathway's Assembly - February 2020
“In February, Darren and Claire from Pathways came in to tell the the story of the ten lepers who were healed by Jesus. People heard that Jesus was healing the sick and people followed Him because they wanted to hear what he had to say and to see a miracle. He healed the ten lepers but only one return to thank him. The meaning behind the story is that it is important to show gratitude and to be thankful for what you get in life”.
